Account Access and Connecting Devices


It only takes a minute to access your Manulife Vitality account:

  1. Sign up for the program through the My Manulife Vitality website
  2. Download the free Manulife Vitality app to your phone or tablet from the App Store or Google Play
  3. Sign in to the app using the same email address and password you used to sign in to the My Manulife Vitality website
  4. You're ready to go!

Downloading the free Manulife Vitality app to your phone or tablet from the Apple App Store or Google Play is the only way you can fully participate in the program. It gives you an overview of your Vitality Health Review™ results and Vitality Age™, and lets you review your Vitality Points™ and Vitality Status™, activate Vitality Active Rewards™, and redeem rewards.


Your Apple Watch stores your exercise data on your iPhone in the Health app. First, make sure you have set up a Health app account.

Then, in the Manulife Vitality app, go to Health App. From the list of available devices to link, choose Health app, then press Link now. A new page will open on your phone. Enter your Health app account user name and password. Click Accept to share your physical activity data, such as heart rate, workout duration and steps. Read and agree to the terms and conditions. You are ready to go!

When you exercise wearing your Apple Watch, it will send your workout information to your Manulife Vitality account and you will get points and rewards. To sync the accounts, open the Manulife Vitality app. You should open the Manulife Vitality app at least once a week to see your activity and check that it’s syncing.


First, make sure you have set up a Health app account. Then, in the Manulife Vitality app, go to Health App. From the list of available devices to link, choose Health app, then press Link now. A new page will open on your phone. Enter your Health app account user name and password. Click Accept to share your physical activity data, such as the number of steps you take in a day. Read and agree to the terms and conditions. You are ready to go!

When your Health app account is on and it’s counting steps, it will send your workout information to your Manulife Vitality account. You will get points that count towards your weekly Vitality Active Rewards™, helping you earn 500 points so your monthly Apple Watch payment is waived. To sync the accounts, open the Manulife Vitality app. You should open the Manulife Vitality app at least once a week to see your activity and check that it’s syncing.


As a Manulife Vitality member, you are entitled to a free Garmin Vivofit 4™ device after you have completed your Vitality Health Review™. Once you have received your device, you must setup your Garmin account. Then, in the Manulife Vitality app, go to Health App. From the list of available devices to link, choose Garmin, then press Link now. A new page will open on your phone. Enter your Garmin account user name and password. Click Accept to share your physical activity data, such as heart rate, workout duration and steps. Read and agree to the terms and conditions. You are ready to go!

When you exercise using your Garmin device, it will send your workout information to your Manulife Vitality account and you will get points and rewards. To sync the accounts, open the Manulife Vitality app. You should open the Manulife Vitality app at least once a week to see your activity and check that it’s syncing.


You can disconnect (and reconnect) your wearable device or fitness app from your Manulife Vitality account at any time. In the Manulife Vitality app, go to Health App. You’ll see your connected devices listed in the Linked section. Choose the device you want to disconnect. Click Delink.


In the Manulife Vitality app, go to Health App. You’ll see your connected devices listed in the Linked section. Choose your device. At the top, you’ll see “Last synced: date, time.

Yes, you can connect with as many devices as you want, as long as they are compatible.


We recommend that you contact the fitness device or fitness app’s support service directly for help with their products.


You may not see your workouts in the app because your fitness device/app isn’t connected to your Manulife Vitality app. Make sure you connect your fitness device/app to the Manulife Vitality app. Click Health App on the home screen. Follow the instructions. Read and accept the terms and conditions.

Go to the Health App section of the app to find out more about how you can allow Manulife Vitality to access your workout data. Remember, it can take up to 48 hours for points to update.

Also note that certain apps (e.g., Apple Health) only sync when you open the Manulife Vitality app. You should open your Manulife Vitality app at least once a week so you get full credit for your workouts.

In addition, if you have done the same points-earning activity more than once in a day, only the activity that earns the most points will show on your points statement and in your Activity History.


To cancel your Manulife Vitality membership, simply contact our customer service team at 1-800-268-3763, Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET, or email us at more_info@manulife.com. You can keep your health and dental insurance once you cancel your Manulife Vitality membership; however, you will no longer receive Manulife Vitality premium savings. We will not refund any Manulife Vitality premiums you have paid. Note that once you have removed the Manulife Vitality program, you cannot later add it back to your current Flexcare or FollowMe insurance plans.


Apple Watch Support


No, you cannot change your shipping address after you have completed your order.


You have 14 days to return your Apple Watch by contacting the Manulife Vitality Contact Centre at 1-888-626-8543. Do not return your Apple Watch through Apple or at an Apple Store. Once you have returned your Apple Watch, you can order a new Apple Watch. 


You can track your package using the link in the Shipping Confirmation email you receive.


Call the Manulife Vitality Contact Centre at 1-888-626-8543 to let them know your Apple Watch arrived broken.


Take your Apple Watch and Apple Order ID to an Apple Store. Alternatively, contact Apple Technical Support online at www.apple.ca. Manulife and the Manulife Vitality program do not provide service warranties for the Apple Watch.


No, your Apple Watch is a brand new device, as if you had ordered it directly from Apple. You will need to set it up and link it to Manulife Vitality after you receive it.


Your billing cycle depends on the day of the month the Apple Watch shipped. If your Apple Watch ships 10 calendar days or more before the end of the month, your first calendar month will be the following month. If your Apple Watch ships less than 10 calendar days before the end of the month, your first calendar month will be the month after the following month. This ensures that you have your Apple Watch by the beginning of your first billing cycle and that you have the whole month to reduce your first payment by using it with the Manulife Vitality program.


No, it does not. However, you are committing to an Apple Watch Agreement, which is a binding contract between you and Manulife. Your failure to make continuous payments may result in Manulife sending your information to a collection agency or taking further steps to enforce the contract.


We calculate sales tax based on the delivery address you enter as shipping information when you buy your Apple Watch. Sales tax varies by province and applies to the full retail price of the Apple Watch you choose.


Garmin Device Support


Go to the Manulife Vitality website to order a free Garmin device or upgrade to the Garmin device of your choice, and choose the device colour.
