CoverMe Travel insurance for Visitors to Canada offers travellers both Single-Trip and Multi-Trip plans to choose from, so they only pay for the coverage they want and need. Emergency Medical Top-Up, Trip Interruption and Trip Accident coverage is also available.
Choice of coverage amounts
Visitors under 85 years of age are eligible to apply for coverage in amounts of $15,000, $25,000, $50,000 or $100,000. Visitors who are under 70 years of age are eligible to apply for coverage of $150,000.
Comprehensive protection
CoverMe Travel Emergency Medical for Visitors to Canada includes coverage for physician services, ambulance services, semi-private hospital accommodation, prescription drugs, diagnostic tests, treatment by registered specialists and therapists such as chiropractors and physiotherapists, emergency dental treatment, childcare expenses in the event a traveller is hospitalized, and much more.
Choose from Single-Trip or Multi-Trip plans
Our Single-Trip plans protect visitors for one trip, while our Multi-Trip or annual plans cover visitors under the age of 70 for an unlimited number of trips (up to 30 days in duration) during a one-year period.
Includes coverage for side trips outside Canada
Our Single-Trip and Multi-Trip plans also include coverage while travelling outside Canada (excluding a policyholder's country of origin), as long as the side trip originates and terminates in Canada and does not exceed the lesser of 30 days or 49% of the total number of coverage days.
Coverage for stable pre-existing medical conditions
Visitors who apply for Plan B can qualify for coverage even if they have a pre-existing medical condition, as long as they have been stable for 180 days prior to their coverage starting.
Coverage for stable pre-existing medical conditions with no medical questionnaire required
Visitors who apply for Plan B who are under 35 years of age can qualify for coverage without having to complete a medical questionnaire.
Protection for the entire family
Families travelling together who apply for Plan A will qualify for Family Coverage rates (up to age 54).
Additional protection against the unforeseen
Trip Cancellation and Trip Accident coverage can be purchased separately.
Trip Break coverage is included
This coverage allows visitors to return home to attend special events without terminating their coverage, if they have received prior approval from the Assistance Centre.
Special deductible savings
Visitors can enjoy significant savings on their premiums by choosing a deductible of either $500 or $1,000.
